Zhang Hejun was born in 1952 in Beilun District, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China. He grew up in an ordinary rural farming family. Experiencing the economic hardships of the 1950s through the 1970s, he developed a sense of self-reliance from a young age. Zhang completed high school education.
Rise to Success
At the age of 17, in 1969, Zhang began his entrepreneurial journey. He initially focused on mold development. By 1971, he established the Xiapu Chenhua Mold and Hardware Factory. In 1990, Zhang formally established Deye Technology Group, initially focusing on electronics. In 2007, he founded Ningbo Deye Inverter Technology Co., Ltd., which expanded into advanced inverter technologies.
