Career
Hoegner began his career at Ernst & Young, where he spent eight years in the Mergers & Acquisitions Tax Group. He then transitioned to the cryptocurrency and gaming law field. From 2014 until January 2025, he served as General Counsel for Tether and Bitfinex. His expertise has been sought by international securities commissions, regulators, and government bodies like the Department of Finance and the Senate Standing Committee on Banking, Trade, and Commerce. Hoegner is also the editor of "The Law of Bitcoin", a comprehensive book on cryptocurrency laws and regulations.
