Early Life and Career
Roy Reznik's journey began with a shared experience in the Israeli army, where he met the future co-founders of Wiz. His initial foray into the startup world began in 2012 with Adallom, a cloud security company. Adallom provided enterprises with visibility and control over application and data access, and was later acquired by Microsoft in 2015 for $320 million.
Rise to Success with Wiz
In January 2020, Reznik, along with Assaf Rappaport, Ami Luttwak, and Yinon Costica, founded Wiz. The company rapidly gained momentum, securing a $1 billion funding round at a $12 billion valuation in 2024, and quickly reaching $500 million in ARR. Wiz's cloud security platform identifies and manages security risks across cloud infrastructure, enabling rapid growth.
Key Business Strategies
Wiz's success is attributed to its focus on cloud security, leveraging AI and agentless scanning to provide immediate value. The co-founders’ established collaboration, built on nearly two decades of working together, has enabled the team to move fast and innovate under pressure. This team dynamic has been a key factor in their success.
