Early Life
Raj Sardana was born in Delhi, India, to Punjabi parents who had migrated during the 1947 partition. His family lived in government housing in New Delhi, facing financial hardships. Sardana's parents prioritized education, instilling strong work ethics. In 1981, he moved to the United States with only $100 to pursue a master's degree in mechanical engineering at Georgia Tech.
Rise to Success
To support himself, Sardana worked in the university cafeteria. After graduating, he secured an H-1 visa and worked at Howmet Aerospace. He later worked at Teledyne CAE, designing engines for Tomahawk missiles. With the end of the Cold War, he lost his job, which led him to entrepreneurship. Sardana founded American CyberSystems (ACS) in 1998, which was later rebranded as Innova Solutions.

Philanthropy
Sardana and his wife, Nita, established the Innova Foundation in 2013. The foundation supports education, women's empowerment, and various community initiatives. The foundation supports programs such as the YWCA's Teen Girls in Technology program and has adopted schools in India.
