Lukas Tyler Walton was born on September 19, 1986, in San Diego, California. He is the only child of John T. Walton and Christy Walton. He grew up in National City, California, and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. At the age of three, Lukas was diagnosed with a rare form of kidney cancer. His mother, Christy Walton, credits his recovery to an alternative plant-based remedy. He attended Colorado College and earned a bachelor's degree in environmentally sustainable business in 2010.
Rise to Success
Lukas Walton is the grandson of Sam Walton, the founder of Walmart. In 2005, at the age of 19, Lukas inherited a significant portion of his father's estate after John T. Walton died in a plane crash.
