Early Life and Education
Liang Rubo's early life and education laid the foundation for his future success. He attended Nankai University in Tianjin, China, where he studied Micro Electronics, graduating in 2005. It was during his time at Nankai University that Liang first met Zhang Yiming, with whom he would later co-found ByteDance.

Liang Rubo's career took a significant turn in 2012 when he, alongside Zhang Yiming, co-founded ByteDance. One of ByteDance's initial successful apps was Toutiao, a news aggregator. The company experienced rapid growth and innovation with the launch of Douyin in 2016, which would later be known internationally as TikTok. He played a crucial role in developing key products like Douyin and Lark. In 2021, Liang took over as CEO of ByteDance, succeeding Zhang Yiming. This transition highlighted Liang's strengths in management, organization, and social engagement, key aspects of the company's continued evolution.
