KoGuan's entrepreneurial journey began in 1989 when he co-founded SHI International Corp. alongside his then-wife, Thai Lee. Initially, the company started as a software reseller. Under KoGuan's leadership, SHI International grew into a leading IT solutions provider, serving over 20,000 clients, including major corporations like Boeing and AT&T. KoGuan is the chairman of SHI International. His initial investment in real estate in Manhattan was successful and he used the profit to found SHI International, which would become the basis of his wealth.
