Early Life and Education
Georg Nemetschek was born on June 5, 1934, in Feldsberg, Czechoslovakia (now Valtice, Czech Republic). During World War II, his mother fled with her children to the West. He studied civil engineering at the Technical University in Munich.
Rise to Success
In 1963, Nemetschek founded an engineering office focused on structural design, which was one of the first to use computers and develop software for engineers. He launched Statik 97/77 for civil engineering in 1977 and, in 1980, presented software for integrated calculation and design of standard components. Nemetschek AG was established in 1994. The company went public in 1999.

Nemetschek's key strategies included early adoption of computer technology in the 1960s, pioneering computer-aided design, and strategic acquisitions, expanding globally and diversifying its software offerings to include 3D animation and motion design.
Philanthropy
Georg Nemetschek has established the Nemetschek Innovation Foundation to support scientific research and artificial intelligence applications in the construction sector.
