Early Life and Education
Fu Liquan was born in Hangzhou, China, and graduated from Zhejiang Shuren University in 1989 with a degree in radio engineering. He later earned an EMBA from Zhejiang University.
Career and Dahua Technology's Founding
Fu started his career at a small electrical equipment factory. In 1993, he started his first equipment plant. In 2001, Fu co-founded Zhejiang Dahua Technology with his wife, Chen Ailing, and another investor with an initial investment of $60,000. Dahua Technology was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2008.
Rise to Success and Leadership
Under Fu's leadership, Dahua Technology has become a world-leading video-centric AIoT solution and service provider. He served as the CEO and Chairman. Dahua has expanded its product offerings to include surveillance equipment and solutions for various sectors, including smart city and transportation. Fu's strategic vision emphasized research and development, leading to the introduction of advanced technologies like artificial intelligence and deep learning in surveillance systems. Fu was recognized as a "Zhejiang Businessman of the Year" in 2016.
