Fu Liquan was born in 1967 in Hangzhou, China, and grew up in a modest family. After graduating from Zhejiang Shuren University with a degree in radio engineering in 1989, he worked at a small factory before starting his entrepreneurial journey.
Rise to Success
In 1993, driven by his entrepreneurial spirit, Fu established his first equipment plant. Recognizing the potential in the video surveillance market, he and his wife, Chen Ailing, founded Zhejiang Dahua Technology in 2001. They started the company with $60,000, eventually growing it into a global leader. Under Fu's leadership, Dahua expanded its product offerings, focusing on video surveillance equipment and solutions, and serving diverse sectors.

Fu's strategic vision emphasized research and development, leading to the introduction of advanced technologies like artificial intelligence and deep learning in surveillance systems. Dahua's commitment to innovation and quality propelled it to the forefront of the industry. Fu implemented a "Video+" strategy in 2017, focusing on multi-dimensional sensing and applications to enhance the value of video data.
Philanthropy
Fu Liquan is involved in philanthropy, focusing on causes like education reform and environmental sustainability. He and his wife established the Fu Generation Foundation (FGF) in 2007. The mission of FGF is to provide assistance to the elderly or youths that are under privileged.
