Walter Haefner was the world's oldest billionaire at the time of his death, with a net worth estimated at US$4.3 billion. She inherited 50% of her father’s Careal Holding AG, which held shares in Computer Associates. Her fortune is largely from her stake in American IT management software maker CA Technologies, acquired by Broadcom in 2020. Additionally, she inherited part of car dealer AMAG.
