Eric Li Shufu was born in Taizhou, Zhejiang, China, on June 25, 1963. He holds a master's degree from Yanshan University. Li's childhood in Taizhou sparked his interest in business and innovation.
Rise to Success
Li founded Geely in November 1986. Geely has grown into the second-largest private automobile manufacturer in China. A pivotal moment was the 2010 acquisition of Volvo Cars from Ford Motor Company. Li's leadership has been instrumental in Geely's expansion and success, including venturing into electric vehicle brands like Zeekr Intelligent Technology and Lynk & Co.
