Early Life
Bastian Nominacher was born on November 15, 1984. He grew up in a family of bakers, but decided to pursue technology instead. He was fascinated by the impact of technology, and started programming and building computers with his father.
Rise to Success
Nominacher, along with Alexander Rinke and Martin Klenk, co-founded Celonis in 2011 after graduating from the Technical University of Munich. They were inspired by a project that needed to improve customer service. They identified that every user action within the business was recorded within the IT systems in the form of event-logs, and knew there was value in this data. Celonis offers B2B process optimization software, using AI and machine learning. In 2015, Celonis was named Germany's fastest-growing technology company.
