Early Life
Born in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, Yu Zhuyun's journey began with service in the army in the late 1980s. In the early 1990s, he moved to Shenzhen, seeking job opportunities after Deng Xiaoping's historic inspection tour. He started in sales at a technology company.
Rise to Success
Yu's career took a significant turn when he joined Comba Telecom in Hong Kong. He sold his shares in 2003 after Comba debuted on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, receiving considerable capital. In 2004, he returned to Anhui province and founded Central Holding Group. The group has grown into a corporate entity with diversified businesses including real estate, hotels, logistics, and tourism.
Key Business Strategies
Yu Zhuyun's strategy involves diversification and adaptability. He has transformed his business model from real estate development to encompass commercial operation, cultural industry, smart logistics, green building, and health agricultural planting. This approach allows the company to adjust to changes in the socio-economic and policy environment. Central New Energy Holding Group went public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2018.
Philanthropy
Beyond business, Yu is dedicated to philanthropy. He and his company have donated approximately $6.95 million to help those in need. He invested in a healthcare and nursing complex in Qujiang district of Quzhou city.
