Xu Jinfu, born in China, pursued higher education in chemistry. He obtained a bachelor's degree from Zhejiang University and a master's degree from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He further enhanced his business acumen by earning an MBA from China Europe International Business School.
Rise to Success
Xu founded Guangzhou Tinci Materials Technology Co., Ltd. (Tinci Materials) in June 2000. The company initially focused on cosmetics materials, but soon expanded into lithium battery electrolytes, becoming a key supplier in the electric vehicle industry. Tinci Materials went public on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange on January 23, 2014.
Key Business Strategies
Xu's leadership has been marked by strategic investments and partnerships. Tinci Materials formed a partnership with Lanxess in March 2021 and signed a supply agreement with CATL. The company has expanded its manufacturing footprint with sites in China, Europe, and the U.S. and has plans for new plants in Morocco and Texas.
