Vincent Lo was born in Hong Kong on April 18, 1948. His parents, Lo Ying-shek and Lo To Lee Kwan, were well-known figures in the city's real estate sector. His father co-founded Great Eagle Holdings. Vincent pursued his education at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics in 1969.
Rise to Success
In 1971, at the age of 23, Lo founded Shui On Group, a building-materials and construction firm, with a loan from his father. He started investing in Shanghai in 1984 and built a hotel in partnership with the Communist Youth League. His significant achievement is the development of Xintiandi in Shanghai, a mixed-use district.
