Early Life
Susan Carol Holland was born in Milan, Italy, on May 27, 1956. She is the daughter of Algernon Charles Holland, who founded Amplifon in 1950. Holland pursued higher education, earning a bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology from Keele University in the UK. She furthered her studies with a Diploma in Logopaedia from the Universita degli Studi di Milano.
Rise to Success
Holland's career began as a speech therapist in Milan in 1982. In 1988, she joined Amplifon as a director, and in 1993, she was appointed as the non-executive vice-chair. In 2011, she became the Chairman of Amplifon, overseeing the company's expansion into a global leader in the hearing aid industry. Through her family’s holding company, Holland owns a significant stake in Amplifon.
