Sulaiman Al Habib was born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on March 17, 1953. He received his early education in Madinah before pursuing medical studies at King Saud University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Medicine. He further specialized in pediatrics, earning a fellowship from the Royal College of Pediatrics in 1984, along with a diploma in Child Health.

Dr. Al Habib began his career in pediatric medicine before establishing the Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group (HMG) in 1995. Under his leadership, HMG has grown into one of the largest private healthcare providers in the Middle East, with numerous hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Bahrain. The group went public on the Saudi stock exchange in 2020.
