Early Life and Education
Sulaiman Al Habib was born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on March 17, 1953. He received his medical degree from King Saud University in 1977. Later, he pursued advanced studies and earned a fellowship from the Royal College of Pediatrics in the UK in 1984.
Career and Rise to Success
Before establishing his own medical group, Al Habib served as the Head of the Pediatrics Department at the Security Forces Hospital in Riyadh from 1988 to 1991. He also worked as a consultant for the Saudi Ministry of Health from 1985 to 1989. In 1995, Al Habib founded Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Services Group (HMG), which has become one of the leading private healthcare providers in the Middle East. The group operates hospitals, medical complexes, and pharmacies across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Bahrain. HMG went public in 2020 on the Saudi stock exchange, and Al Habib currently holds a significant stake.
