Early Life
Enos Stanley Kroenke was born on July 29, 1947, in Mora, Missouri. His father owned a lumber company, where Stan began working at a young age. He was named after baseball Hall of Famers Enos Slaughter and Stan Musial. He attended Cole Camp High School, where he played basketball and baseball.
Rise to Success
Kroenke's career started in real estate development in 1975 and gained momentum when he married Ann Walton, a Walmart heiress, in 1974. He founded the Kroenke Group in 1983, focusing on shopping centers. He also co-founded THF Realty in 1990. Kroenke's foray into sports began in 1995 with a stake in the St. Louis Rams. He expanded his portfolio to include the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche in 2000 and Arsenal FC in 2007, eventually becoming the sole owner.
