Early Life and Education
Sol Daurella Comadrán was born in Barcelona, Spain, in 1966, into a family with deep roots in the business world. Her grandfather, Santiago Daurella Rull, was a Spanish importer of salted cod. Her father, José Daurella Franco, was also an entrepreneur. Sol received her education in Switzerland and earned a degree in Business Administration. She furthered her education with an MBA from ESADE and a master's degree in Finance from the University of Berkeley. Daurella is fluent in four languages.
Rise to Success
Daurella began her career at Mac Group before joining the Coca-Cola system in 1992. Over the years, she held various leadership positions within Coca-Cola. Notably, she served as CEO of Coca-Cola Iberian Partners and CEO and Chairman of Cobega. In 2016, she became the Chairman of Coca-Cola European Partners, now known as Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, the world's largest independent Coca-Cola bottler. Her strategic leadership and business acumen have been instrumental in the company's success.
Key Business Strategies
Under Daurella's leadership, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners has focused on key strategies such as expanding its reach into new markets and increasing sales and profits. Daurella has been involved in successful mergers and acquisitions, including the merger of Coca-Cola Iberian Partners and Coca-Cola Enterprises. Daurella's leadership also extends to her role as a director of other Coca-Cola bottlers, including the Equatorial Coca-Cola Bottling Company. In addition, Sol Daurella has served as Co-Chair of Grupo Cacaolat, a dairy company based in Barcelona.
Philanthropy
Sol Daurella is involved in philanthropic activities, notably as the chair of the FERO Foundation for cancer research. She also supports the SHE Foundation, which focuses on health and education initiatives.
