Early Life and Education
Seth Boro, a US citizen, was originally from Canada. He received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen's University School of Business and later earned an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. His early career included roles as an analyst at First Marathon Securities and Credit Suisse in Toronto.
Rise to Success
Boro's career took off in the private equity sector. Before joining Thoma Bravo in 2005, he was part of the investment team at Summit Partners. He became a Partner at Thoma Bravo in 2010 and a Managing Partner in 2013. In this role, he leads the firm’s infrastructure software and cybersecurity strategy and is responsible for finding and executing new deals and managing portfolio companies. Boro has held more than 30 board seats, led over 15 exits, and helped establish a large cybersecurity portfolio, representing over $60 billion in enterprise value.

He also serves on the boards of the NHL's Ottawa Senators, the Ottawa Rapid FC and the Canada Soccer Foundation.
