Robert E. Rich Jr. was born on January 25, 1941, in Buffalo, New York. He is the son of Robert E. Rich Sr., the founder of Rich Products Corporation. Growing up in Buffalo, Rich Jr. developed a strong interest in sports, excelling in football, hockey, and squash. He attended Nichols School in Buffalo before pursuing higher education.
Rise to Success
Rich Jr. graduated from Williams College with a bachelor's degree in 1963 and earned an MBA from the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester in 1969. In 1964, he began his career at Rich Products as the president of Rich Products of Canada, a startup subsidiary. He rose through the ranks, becoming the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and eventually, the President of Rich's in 1978. After his father's death in 2006, Robert Jr. was elected chairman of Rich Products.
