Renata Kellnerova, born Renáta Hacklová on July 4, 1967, grew up in the Czech Republic. She is the widow of Petr Kellner, a Czech billionaire entrepreneur and the founder of PPF Group.
Rise to Success
Following Petr Kellner's death in a helicopter crash in March 2021, Renata inherited his 98.93% stake in PPF Group. From 1993 to 1997, she served on the board of directors of PPF moravskoslezský investiční fond a.s., one of PPF Group's predecessors. In 2023, she and her family acquired the remaining shares held by minority stakeholders, becoming 100% owners of the group. Under her leadership, PPF Group has focused on Western markets.
Key Business Strategies
Renata Kellnerova has been instrumental in consolidating the ownership of PPF Group and strategically shifting its focus. She emphasized preparing her children for future leadership roles within the company. In 2025, she and her daughters purchased Petr Kellner Jr.'s 10% stake in PPF Group, solidifying the family's control. She has overseen a major move away from Asia and shifted attention back to western markets.
Philanthropy
Renata co-founded the Educa Foundation in 2002, providing scholarships to students. This initiative led to the establishment of The Kellner Family Foundation in 2009. The foundation has since donated nearly CZK 2 billion (approximately $89 million) to various educational and social projects in the Czech Republic.
