Early Life
Raymond Kwok Ping-luen was born in British Hong Kong on April 20, 1953. He is the youngest son of Kwok Tak-seng, the co-founder of Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP). His father was a successful businessman, and his mother, Kwong Siu-hing, was a homemaker. Raymond has two brothers, Walter and Thomas.
Rise to Success
Raymond Kwok joined the family business, Sun Hung Kai Properties, after earning an MBA from Harvard University. He quickly ascended through the ranks and was appointed chairman and managing director in 2008. Under his leadership, SHKP has become the largest property developer in Hong Kong. He also chairs SUNeVision Holdings Ltd. and SmarTone Telecommunications Holdings Limited.
