Randa Duncan Williams was born in 1961 in Houston, Texas. She is the daughter of Dan Duncan, co-founder of Enterprise Products, and Barbara Ann Duncan. She earned a Bachelor of Arts/Science from Rice University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston.
Rise to Success
Williams began her career practicing law before joining Enterprise Products in 1994. She served as President and CEO of Enterprise Products from 1994 to February 2001. In 2010, she inherited a significant portion of her father's estate, becoming one of the first American billionaires to avoid estate tax due to a temporary repeal of the estate tax law. In 2013, she became the non-executive chairman of Enterprise Products Partners.
