Early Life
P.V. Krishna Reddy was born in 1950 in a village in Andhra Pradesh, India. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Andhra University and a Master's degree in Commerce from Madras University. Inspired by the growth of Reliance Industries, he set his sights on becoming a successful businessman. In 1991, after graduating, he joined his uncle, P.P. Reddy, in the infrastructure business.
Rise to Success
In 1989, P.P. Reddy founded Megha Engineering Enterprises, which later became Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL). Initially, the company focused on constructing small pipes, but under the leadership of P.V. Krishna Reddy, it rapidly expanded into large-scale infrastructure projects. Key projects included dams, power plants, natural gas distribution networks, and roads. MEIL has completed India's largest lift irrigation project.

Philanthropy
P.V. Krishna Reddy is involved in philanthropic activities. He and his uncle were among the top new donors in the 2024 Philanthropy List of the Hurun and EdelGive. MEIL has also partnered with the Andhra Pradesh government's P4 Programme (People, Private, Public Partnership for Poverty Elimination), adopting 1,500 families for long-term support.
