Early Life
Peter Leibinger was born on April 23, 1967, in Stuttgart, Germany. He is one of three children of Berthold Leibinger and Doris Leibinger, née Schaible. He studied mechanical engineering at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH) in Aachen.
Rise to Success
Leibinger's career includes working as a development engineer at Ingersoll Milling Machine Company in Rockford, IL, from 1997 to 1999. He later joined his family's business, TRUMPF, a global leader in machine tools and lasers. He held various executive positions within the company, including Chief Technology Officer, responsible for research and development, sales, and service. In July 2023, Leibinger became the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TRUMPF.
