Per Franzén holds a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics, with exchange studies at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. His strong educational foundation provided a solid base for his future career in finance.
Rise to Success
Franzén began his career at Morgan Stanley, working in London and Stockholm offices for six years in M&A, Leveraged Finance, and Nordic Banking. He joined EQT Partners in Stockholm in May 2007. Since joining EQT, he has been instrumental in the firm's growth, including leading the EUR 22 billion raise of EQT X, the largest private equity fund globally in 2024. In February 2025, he was appointed as the new CEO and Managing Partner of EQT, effective from May 27, 2025. He currently serves as Head of Private Capital Europe & North America and Deputy Managing Partner.
