Early Life
Pawan Kant Munjal was born on September 26, 1959, in New Delhi, India. He is the third child of Brijmohan Lall Munjal, the co-founder of Hero Cycles, later known as Hero MotoCorp. Growing up in a family deeply involved in business, Munjal was exposed to entrepreneurial principles from a young age.
Rise to Success
Munjal joined Hero Cycles in 1982 after completing his MBA from the University of Delhi. He held various positions within the company before becoming Managing Director in 2001. A pivotal moment in his career was the joint venture between Hero Cycles and Honda Motor Co. of Japan, which led to the formation of Hero Honda Motors Limited in 1984. Munjal played a crucial role in the success of this venture, focusing on quality and customer satisfaction. Under his leadership, Hero Honda became the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India. After the split with Honda in 2011, Munjal led Hero MotoCorp's global expansion.

Munjal has focused on innovation, expansion, and global reach. He has expanded operations to over 40 countries. Hero MotoCorp has established manufacturing plants in Colombia and Bangladesh.
