Early Life
Pat Neal was born in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1949. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. During his time in college, Neal had an early interest in business, and he pursued various ventures. Before graduating, Neal worked on his first real estate project with his father.
Rise to Success
Neal founded Neal Communities in 1970. From 1974 to 1986, Neal served in the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate. Neal's company has built over 25,000 homes and lots in Southwest Florida. In 2024, Neal Communities was ranked #4099 on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in America. Neal has been recognized for his philanthropic efforts, with his company contributing more than $7 million to local community organizations. In May 2024, Neal received the Hearthstone BUILDER Humanitarian Award.
