Oren Zeev was born in Haifa, Israel, on September 23, 1964. He graduated with a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and earned an MBA from INSEAD in France. His early career included image and signal processing algorithm development and a research position at IBM.
Rise to Success
Zeev entered the investment world in the 1990s at Apex, later becoming a partner at Apax Partners. In 2007, he established Zeev Ventures, a one-man venture capital firm in Palo Alto. His investment strategy focuses on early-stage companies, often taking a significant ownership stake and remaining actively involved as a board member. His hands-on approach and contrarian investment style have led to numerous successful exits and high returns, including early investments in Audible, Chegg, and Houzz.
