In 1979, at the age of 25, Dentressangle founded his own transport company, ND European Transport Ltd, in London, aiming to become a benchmark carrier between France and the UK. The company expanded rapidly. In 1994, Norbert Dentressangle SA was listed on the Paris stock exchange. Under Dentressangle's management, the company expanded through strategic acquisitions, including Christian Salvesen in 2007 and Jacobson Companies in the US in 2014.
