Nicholas J. Pritzker was born on October 16, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois. He is the son of Jack Nicholas Pritzker and Rhoda Goldberg Pritzker. He received his education from Reed College, Lake Forest College, and the London School of Film before earning a J.D. from the University of Chicago.
Rise to Success
Pritzker began his career in real estate, working alongside his father. His career then evolved, leading him to assume responsibility for Hyatt Hotels Corporation, where he served as president and oversaw international hotel projects. He also served on the board of directors for Hyatt Hotels Corporation from 1980 to 2007. Beyond Hyatt, Pritzker is an independent entrepreneur and co-founder of Tao Capital, an investment firm focused on sustainable energy and disruptive technology businesses.
