Mary Alice Dorrance Malone Jr. was born in 1983. She is the great-granddaughter of John T. Dorrance, who invented Campbell's Soup in 1897. Mary Alice and her sister, Catherine Dorrance Malone, inherited an 18% combined stake in The Campbell's Company. Mary Alice Jr. and her sister grew up on their mother's horse breeding farm in Coatesville, Pa.
Rise to Success
Mary Alice Jr. is the founder and Chief Brand Director of the luxury footwear brand Malone Souliers, which she established in 2014. She also acquired the UK-based brand Duo Boots out of bankruptcy in 2020 and successfully relaunched it. She earned a B.A. in international politics from Elon University and studied design and manufacturing at the University of the Arts, Denver and London College of Fashion.
