Datla's career progressed steadily within Biological E. Limited. She was appointed Managing Director in 2013. Under her leadership, the company has expanded its vaccine portfolio, with a focus on global health initiatives and partnerships with international organizations like WHO and UNICEF. She has been instrumental in Biological E.’s push to create and deliver vaccines to combat diseases, most notably the COVID-19 vaccine, Corbevax.
