Madhukar Balvantray Parekh was born in Mumbai, India, into a Gujarati Baniya family. After completing his education with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Mumbai and a Master's degree from the University of Wisconsin, Parekh joined the family business, Pidilite Industries, in 1972. Under his leadership, Pidilite transformed into a global leader in adhesives, sealants, and construction chemicals.
