Early Life
Liu Ming Chung was born in Taiwan in 1963. In the 1970s, his family moved to Brazil seeking better opportunities. He pursued a degree in dental surgery at the University of Santo Amaro in Brazil, graduating in 1983.
Rise to Success
After graduating, Liu Ming Chung practiced dentistry briefly before shifting his focus. In 1988, a business trip to Hong Kong marked a turning point. He met Cheung Yan, who would become his wife and business partner. They began a venture in the paper recycling business, founding America Chung Nam in 1990 in the United States, which collected waste paper for export to China.
In 1995, Liu and Cheung expanded their operations by establishing Nine Dragons Paper in Hong Kong. Under their leadership, Nine Dragons Paper grew rapidly and became a major player in the paper packaging industry, particularly in China. The company went public in March 2006.
