Early Life

Leonid Boguslavsky was born on June 17, 1951, in Moscow, USSR. He displayed an early aptitude for academics, winning the Moscow University Biology Olympiad in sixth grade and the USSR TV Mathematics Olympiad a year later. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Transport Engineering (MIIT) in 1973 with a degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. His father, Boris Kagan, was a computer engineer and scientist. His mother, Zoya Boguslavskaya, was married to the poet Andrei Voznesensky.

Rise to Success

After graduating, Boguslavsky conducted scientific research at the Institute of Control Sciences of the USSR Academy of Sciences from 1973 to 1990. He then entered the business world, founding LVS, a systems integration business in 1990. In 1996, he sold LVS to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and became a senior partner. In 2000, he co-founded ru-Net Holdings Limited, later rebranded as RTP Global. RTP Global has invested in over 150 companies, with five becoming multibillion-dollar public companies, including Yandex, EPAM, Delivery Hero, RingCentral, and Datadog.
