Early Life
Lee Yeow Chor was born on January 1, 1967. He grew up on a rubber plantation where his father ran a Chinese food shop. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from King's College London. Before joining IOI Group, Lee served in the Attorney General's Chambers and the Malaysian Judiciary Service for approximately four years, lastly as a Magistrate.
Rise to Success
Lee Yeow Chor joined IOI Group in 1994 as a General Manager. He is currently the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive of IOI Corporation Berhad, the main listed arm. He inherited his wealth from the palm oil and property empire built by his father, Lee Shin Cheng. Under his leadership, IOI Corporation has become a globally recognized and sustainable Malaysian business corporation.

Lee Yeow Chor, alongside his brother, Lee Yeow Seng, runs the IOI Group. IOI Corporation has a strong focus on sustainability and ethical conduct, with a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and bribery. The company has expanded its retail and hotel footprint.

Lee is also a trustee of Yayasan Tan Sri Lee Shin Cheng, the charitable arm of IOI Group.
