Early Life
LeBron Raymone James Sr. was born on December 30, 1984, in Akron, Ohio. His mother, Gloria James, was only 16 years old at the time of his birth. His father, Anthony McClelland, was not involved in his life. Growing up, James faced challenging circumstances, moving frequently within Akron. Recognizing the need for stability, his mother allowed James, at age nine, to live with Frank Walker, a local football coach, who introduced him to basketball.
