Born in Albany, New York, in 1950, Larry Connor's early life included attending Archbishop Alter High School in Kettering, Ohio, where he graduated with a 2.0 GPA. He went on to attend Ohio University, where he excelled, earning a double major in English and History and graduating summa cum laude in 1972.
Rise to Success
Connor's entrepreneurial journey began early, with ventures in high school and college. He founded Orlando Computer Corp. and later the Connor Group, a real estate investment firm, in 1991 as Connor, Murphy, and Buhrman. He bought out his partners in 2003. Under his leadership, The Connor Group has grown to manage a $5 billion portfolio of luxury apartment communities across the United States, achieving an annual rate of return of 30.4%.
