Kwee Liong Seen was born into a family with a strong entrepreneurial background. His father, Henry Kwee, a textile trader and real estate developer, migrated from Indonesia to Singapore in 1958. Henry Kwee founded Kwee Inc. Pte Ltd in 1959, and Pontiac Land Group (PLG) in 1961, laying the foundation for the family's future success.
Rise to Success
Kwee Liong Seen, along with his brothers, Kwee Liong Keng, Kwee Liong Tek, and Kwee Liong Phing, took the helm of Pontiac Land Group, transforming it into a leading luxury real estate developer and hotel owner. Under their leadership, Pontiac Land has developed iconic properties, including The Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore, Conrad Centennial Singapore, and Capella Hotel Group. The Kwee brothers also own a majority stake in a luxury tower in New York City, designed by French architect Jean Nouvel. The company's investments extend to the Maldives, where they have invested in a resort complex.
