Early Life
Jupally Rameshwar Rao was born on September 16, 1955, in Kudikilla, Mahbubnagar, Telangana, India. He grew up in a farming family and had to walk long distances to attend school. He moved to Hyderabad in 1974 to study homeopathy.
Rise to Success
After studying homeopathy, he started a clinic. A pivotal moment came when, advised by a friend, he invested Rs. 50,000 in land, which he later sold for Rs. 150,000, igniting his interest in real estate. This led him to establish My Home Constructions in 1981. Over the years, he expanded into the cement business with Maha Cement, making it one of the largest cement producers in South India. He acquired Sree Jayajyothi Cements in 2013, further consolidating his position.

Rao's key business strategies include identifying opportunities in the real estate and cement sectors. He focused on building quality homes and providing a high-quality lifestyle. He expanded his business through strategic partnerships. He sold 50% of Maha Cement to CRH plc in 2008 and acquired Sree Jayajyothi Cements in 2013. His business empire also includes ventures in education.

Jupally Rameshwar Rao is known for his philanthropic activities, with a major contribution to the construction of the Statue of Equality in Hyderabad. He has received the Lifetime Achievement Award and numerous safety awards for his contributions.
