Early Life and Education
Jennifer Steinbrenner Swindal, born in Tampa, Florida, is the daughter of the late George Steinbrenner, the former principal owner of the New York Yankees. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in business and was a Morehead Scholar.
Rise to Success
Jennifer's career has been closely tied to the New York Yankees. She served in the Yankees Public Affairs Department in 1984-85. Later, she became a general partner of the team. Her father, George Steinbrenner, purchased the Yankees in 1973 for $10 million. The Steinbrenner family also collectively owns more than 25% of YES Network, 20% of MLS's New York City FC, a stake in Legends Hospitality and 10% of Italian soccer club AC Milan.
