Early Life and Education
Jamie Dimon was born on March 13, 1956, in New York City. He grew up in the Jackson Heights neighborhood of Queens. Dimon's family has Greek ancestry; his paternal grandfather was a Greek immigrant who worked as a banker. Under his leadership, JPMorgan Chase has become the largest bank in the U.S. by assets, with over $3.9 trillion. Dimon is credited with steering the bank through the 2008 financial crisis.
