James Cox Chambers, born in 1956/57, is the son of Anne Cox Chambers, former US Ambassador to Belgium, and the grandson of James M. Cox, a prominent newspaper publisher and former Governor of Ohio. He has two half-sisters, Katharine Rayner and Margaretta Taylor, who also inherited stakes in Cox Enterprises. Chambers graduated from Bard College in 1982.
