Early Life
Igor Alekseyevich Altushkin was born on September 10, 1970, in Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg), Russia. His journey in the business world began in the early 1990s.
Rise to Success
Altushkin started his career as a scrap metal trader. In 1992, he founded the company "Aeron," which was involved in the collection and processing of non-ferrous metal scrap. In 1997, he established "Uralelectromed-Vortsvetmet," which became the main supplier of scrap and copper for the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK). In 2004, Altushkin founded the Russian Copper Company (RCC), which has since become the third-largest copper producer in Russia.

He is the founder of the RMK Charitable Foundation. In 2020, Altushkin spent 718 million rubles fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. He is also involved with supporting children and providing hearing restoration devices, and has supported over 100,000 people.
