Hu Baifan was born in October 1962. After graduating from college in 1982, Hu Baifan started his career by teaching chemistry at a remote vocational school in China. He later pursued a Master of Business Administration from Zhejiang University.
Rise to Success
In 1988, Hu Baifan, with funds borrowed from fellow teachers, started a small factory to produce industrial ethanol. This venture expanded into producing ingredients for vitamins. Under his leadership, Zhejiang NHU Co., Ltd. (NHU) has grown into one of the world's largest producers of vitamins A and E. The company was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2004.
