Hou entered the cosmetics industry in the 1990s, distributing cosmetics. In 2006, he founded Proya Cosmetics in Zhejiang Province. Proya Cosmetics has become a major brand in China. In 2020, Hou Juncheng became a billionaire. Proya was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in November 2017. Proya Cosmetics focuses on the youth market and has a strong online presence.
