Henry Sy Jr., often called "Big Boy," was born into a family of entrepreneurs. He honed his business acumen at De La Salle University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Management in 1974. Rise to Success
Even before his father's passing, Henry Jr. began taking on key leadership roles within SM. He became a director of SM Prime Holdings in 1994 and later its chairman in 2014. Through his efforts, the SM Development Corporation was revived and became one of the leading residential real estate developers in the Philippines. He also served as CEO of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines until 2016. In 2017, Henry Jr. founded Big Boss Cement, a strategic move that capitalized on the infrastructure boom in the Philippines.
