Haryanto Tjiptodihardjo was born in Jember, Indonesia, on April 30, 1963. His father, Handojo, founded Impack Pratama Industri in 1981, setting the stage for Haryanto's future involvement in the family business. He pursued higher education in the United States, earning a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1983, followed by a Master of Business Administration from Woodbury University in 1986.
Rise to Success
After completing his education, Haryanto joined Impack Pratama Industri in 1986. He started his career within the company, learning the various aspects of the business before taking on leadership roles. His strategic vision and business acumen propelled IMPC to become a major player in the construction materials sector. Haryanto was appointed President Director of Impack Pratama Industri in 1997. Under his leadership, the company expanded its operations internationally, establishing manufacturing facilities in Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, and Vietnam.

Haryanto's leadership has been marked by a focus on innovation and strategic expansion. Impack Pratama Industri has challenged the dominance of metal roofing by offering cutting-edge plastic alternatives. The company has consistently invested in new technologies, expanded its product lines, and ventured into new markets. He also sold his privately held Mulford Holdings, an Australia-based plastic sheets maker, to Impack Pratama Industri for $53 million in June 2024 to boost the latter's revenue. This expansion into global markets has significantly contributed to his wealth and the company's growth.
